Hi, could you tell me how the drawers are constructed please. The glass will be heavy so I am interested in how the front of the drawers attaches to the sides. Are they dovetail joints? Also how do the drawers sit in the unit. Are they on metal or plastic runners, or do they sit on top of each other directly or is there a slit cut in the drawer which fits onto a runner inside the unit? Thank you

Hello Helen. It sounds like you may have viewed some very cheap looking furniture. All our glass furniture is very well made. Drawers are constructed of MDF (steer clear of wood as it expands and contracts which is not good for a glass surface). Drawers are doweled, very sturdy and easily strong enough to the support the glass. Runners are metal, ball bearing style. They sit in the centre of each drawer's side. Please feel free to call the office for further clarification: 02080997443.
I am interested in this tallboy and matching bedside cabinet. Are the handles fixed as I may wish to change them for something a little more contemporary?
Hi Diane, yes the handles can be altered. They are simple screw-in knobs so can easily be changed.
