It’s July! (Where is this year going?) Summer in my favourite cities London, Brighton and Bristol offers some really fun things to do. Check out my top picks below – Jenny x
Bastille Day at Borough Market
If like us you appreciate things a la francais then get yourself down to the Bastille Day celebrations at Borough Market this Sunday. They are promising red, white and blue macaroons, Parsian music and (most importantly) lots of French wine.
Brighton Kite Festival
If you’re down in our neck of the woods then Brighton Kite Festival is happening in our local Stanmer Park. This is a fun, free, Instagram worthy event for all the family. It’s happening Saturday and Sunday so grab a picnic blanket and enjoy the fresh air (Saturday looks better weather wise).
Strawberries and Screen
If you don’t fancy the queues at Wimbledon get yourself down to Granville Square Kings Cross where you can watch the tennis from a deckchair while the kids paddle in the fountains. If it’s hot take an umbrella and plenty of water. (I sat drinking wine in full sun for 4 hours in 2015 and got the mother of all headaches).
We love street art here at Out There Interiors and Bristol is of course where it’s all at. At the end of July Upfest happens which is a street art and grafitti festival attracting over 300 artists from all over the world. Watch giant pieces like this awesome parrot come to life in front of your eyes.
Zipworld operate the longest Zip Wire in Europe. Trust me, it is absolutely insane. Terrifying, exhilarating, mindblowing. Until now you had to travel to Snowdonia to experience it, but it’s coming to South Bank(!) on the 14th July. Don’t delay, it will be well worth it.
